A Niquel-Cadmium (Ni-Cd) battery manufacturer founded in the year of 1884 in Zwickau, Germany. Started producing Ni-Cd batteries in the early 1900's.

Today GAZ manufacturing plant has 11.000 m2, capable of producing 30 million Ah per year. GAZ is one of the oldest and most reliable Ni-Cd battery manufacturer. 
GAZ was acquired by the Enersys Group in 2005.
